Water Gardening

A well-designed water garden offers the opportunity to appreciate and enjoin the many wonders of water without placing extra stress on valuable water reserves.
Choosing a water feature
Water offers an extensive range of applications that no garden can be considered too small, no style too preventive and few budgets too inadequate to accommodate some kind of water feature.
  1. Pond: is a practical introduction to bringing water into your garden with the minimum of expertise. Most of the jobs involved in pond construction can be successfully undertaken without previous experience in building. There is plenty choice to suit every design style.
  2. FormalPools: is the ideal option for small garden where there is little or no grass and the surface is dominated by paving. The planting is reserved, limited mainly in water planting containers and dominated by specimen plants that have bog upright leaves, such as irises.
  3. Raised Pools: These are similar to formal pools and is suitable for small spaces and being surrounded by paving. The great pleasures of a raised pool are to be able to sit on the pool surround and enjoin the water at close quarters.
  4. Fountain Pools:  Fountains contribute the delightful sparkle of light and sound of water to pools. Fountains display the full beauty of the light spectrum, making them the ideal centerpiece for formally designed gardens.
Soil conditions
Soil conditions can also have a major approach on the sitting of a pool. Especially the material from which it is constructed. It is difficult to lay a pond inside layer on loose sandy soil, but preformed shapes are easier to install. However, the reverse is generally true on heavier soil. The occurrence of a high water table and the absence of drainage are likely to be the greatest constraining factors.

It is often thought that a low, wet place in the garden is ideal for a pool. The reality is very different, as it is often not constantly wet and therefore unsuitable for a natural earth-bottom construction. Likewise, an inside layer or preformed plastic or glass-reinforced plastic shape will be disrupted by the rising winter water table unless you essentially improve the drainage and reduce ground water pressure.
